The Mercedes-Benz BlueTEC has come with the technology that makes the economical diesel alternative cleaner and that is very new. The Mercedes-Benz BlueTEC engine stands for the agility, reliability and speed. This engine model has broken a clutch of impressive records in Texas. The speed record of 224.823 km/h was being set in 30 day endurance test that was covering over 100,000 miles. This Bluetec is fitted with a sophisticated emission control system that also includes standard specification maintenance free particulate filter. The E320 Blutec has V6 diesel engine with fuel consumption of 6,71/100 km and this is makes it economical too. It has a low sulfur diesel fuel with the maximum sulfur content of 15 ppm. This helps reducing the upper limit of 500 ppm which is by a factor of 33. This ultimately results in the dramatic reduction in the emission of the diesel engines. This low sulfur diesel fuel enables the use of particulate filters and the efficient nitrogen oxide after treatment. The Mercedes-Benz BlueTEC is being advancing the emission control solution for a number of years. This optimizes the engines and the combustion process to minimize the untreated emission. The oxidizing catalytic converters minimize the emission of carbon monoxide and unburned hydrocarbons.
